What We Are Building

Volty is a utility first electric motorcycle platform, built for work, not commuting. Most electric two wheelers chase lifestyle buyers. We build for the rider who covers 200 km a day, six days a week, and judges a vehicle by uptime, payload, and running cost.

Why Now

Adapt or exit.

Commercial fleets travel 4 times the daily mileage of private citizens. Vietnam is regulating commercial riders first, and the clock is already running.

Hanoi, Low-Emission Zones

  • Jul 2025: Directive 20/CT-TTg orders fossil fuel motorbike restrictions in Hanoi's core and a national low-emission roadmap.
  • Jul 1, 2026: the first low-emission zone goes live inside Ring Road 1, with gasoline motorbike bans that explicitly cover app based ride-hailing and delivery.
  • Jan 1, 2028: restrictions extend across Ring Roads 1 and 2; Ring Road 3 and all business use motorbikes follow by 2030.

HCMC, Fleet Conversion

  • Early 2026: new ride-hailing licenses stop being issued to gasoline motorcycle drivers under the HIDS conversion scheme.
  • 2027: gasoline motorcycles restricted during peak hours in low-emission zones, tightening through 2028.
  • End 2029: gasoline motorcycles banned entirely from ride-hailing and delivery platforms; the roadmap targets 100% of the ~400,000 driver fleet.
